Hi, For about the first 6 months after surgery I had really strong pain in my head. My AN was only 8mm, but it was attached to both of the balance nerves on the left side of my melon. Both balance nerves were removed. I didn't learn this untin over a year later while reading my surgical report. I have pretty major balance issues, horrible tinnitus, partial facial paralysis, short-term memory issues, tiredness, etc, etc, etc. I went on Lexapro to deal with depression, but found it worse than being depressed. I started going to The Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica (weekly acupuncture, and daily herbs) My face slowly started coming back, no more pain (I am sure that yours is much more severe than mine ever was). I had my AN removed by the house over a year and a half ago. My biggest criticism of them is that they completely downplayed the severity of the operation. I was an underwater photographer and they told me I would be back to diving in 6 months...YEAH RIGHT!!! I am doing all right though and I do the best I can each day |
