Hi all, my husband had surgery 2 years ago for an an-
I decided to check out sites for the first time today....saw the question.."positive stories pls???" Although I did not go through anything physical myself I can give something positive...my husband is doing well, back to work, ect... he is totally deaf in his right ear and facial looks like he has had a mild stroke.. the one bit of advice for anyone going into surgery-take lots of pictures(esp. if you have small kids that may not remember you able to smile). His facial muscles have improved-even though right after surgery we thought they never would. time does heal some things. His eye was a huge problem right after surgery-they wanted to insert a weight to help keep it closed-it to has improved...his mri's so far are clear-i've heard up to 8 years for regrowth-again who knows everyone and their tumor is different. as far as tumor reoccurrance-again you can listen to 100 different stories and 100 different doctors you just never know-the only good thing is that an's tend to be slow growing so with regular mri's you can hopefully have radiation instead of surgery...... |
