By facial paralysis what do you mean? Have you completely lost any control of that side of your face. Has it fallen or does it just feel numb? I had surgery 13 years ago and had numbness in the right side of my face. I had dry eye also caused by damage to the facial nerve. It persists to the same extent today that it was shortly after surgery. I took neurontin for about 12 years continually having to increase the dosage to get any relief. Finally I came to the conclusion that neurontin was doing no good except making me sleepy so I dropped it. I still have the numbness and stiffness in my face but if I don't think about it, I don't notice it. Your mind learns to live with the problem. Bill |
