Have not met with him yet, my appointment was postponed until this Friday the 22. I met with a doctor in cornell dr. selesnick who told me that there is a 50/50 chance of me loosing my hearing and that there is a 1% chance of other complications such as hydorcephis, mennigitis, permanent facial paralyses, and my vertigo should resolve in a month or two. he dismissed the fact that I could have vertigo and headaches for a long period of time, and stated that they only last for a brief duration after the surgery.
he told me that the retro sigmodal incision was best for me and that he has done hundreds of surgeries with A.N. I really felt that he was trying to sell me the surgery and had no idea of other options of arthoscopic procedures, and the main turn off to him was that resident were going to be invoiced with the actual procedure, which can increase the rate of complication.

some questions I have for you are:

1. Do you still have vertigo?
2. Do you still have headaches?
3. Do you drive and or have you since the surgery?
4. Have you returned to work since the surgery?
5. How old are you and what was the size of the tumor (I am 32 and my tumor is 2 cm)
6. what did dr. rolland and his team tell you and how did they present the complications to you?

I appreciate any information that you can provide to me so I can make a good decision on which doctor and or procedure.... Eugene
